The last few months at StockUp have been nothing short of transformative. From executing a complete institutional-grade UI redesign to overhauling how our terminal handles data, the platform has grown rapidly. But building a great interface is only half the battle. Today, we want to talk about what goes inside that interface, our new data strategy, and where StockUp is heading this summer.
The Evolution: From CoPilot to Quan 3.3
First, you may have noticed a name change. As StockUp scales, it is crucial that our technology has a distinct, recognizable identity. To step out of the shadow of other tech giants and proactively avoid any potential trademark conflicts with existing products, we have officially retired the "CoPilot" name. Our flagship AI assistant is now Quan.
With this new identity comes a massive leap in capability. We are thrilled to announce the full, platform-wide release of Quan 3.3. All StockUp subscribers now have access to our most capable model to date. Quan 3.3 is at least 2x faster at retrieving and parsing data, and it thinks much deeper than its predecessors. The depth of analysis, the structure of its arguments, and the sheer speed at which it operates make it the ultimate research partner.
Building the Future: The "Always-On" LLM
To ensure Quan stays lightyears ahead of standard chatbots, we are fundamentally changing how we collect market data. We are currently deploying an "always active" Large Language Model (LLM) designed to track and record micro-moments across select high-volume stocks.
This system acts as a relentless observer, watching how specific tickers react to subtle catalysts, options flow, and macro shifts in real-time. By cataloging these micro-interactions, we are building a massive, proprietary dataset. This data will be used to train and fine-tune future iterations of Quan, moving it beyond just analyzing the present, and giving it unparalleled predictive context for the future.
Empowering the Free Tier
As we look to the future, growing our community is our top priority. We realized that locking basic market data behind a paywall was holding back a massive segment of retail investors who could benefit from the StockUp ecosystem.
We are flipping the script. Moving forward, free users will finally unlock access to live chart data and general market statistics when viewing specific stocks. As long as you connect your free Finnhub API key, the terminal will light up with real-time pricing and charting capabilities that previously didn't exist for free accounts. We want every investor to have a powerful home base, regardless of their subscription tier.
The Summer Ahead
With Quan 3.3 live, the new institutional UI rolling out, and the free tier vastly expanded, our product foundation is rock solid. Our plan for the upcoming summer is singular: Growth.
We are going to take this summer to aggressively market StockUp, get the platform in front of as many traders as possible, and rapidly scale our user base. We are building the most capable, accessible AI financial terminal on the market, and we can't wait for the rest of the world to see it.
