What is a token, and what counts against my Quan 3.5 allowance?
A token is the unit Quan uses to measure the text it reads and writes. Your Quan 3.5 allowance counts the input, visible output and thinking tokens of your own requests. Internal checks that StockUp runs on an answer don't count, and Quan 3.4L usage doesn't count against your Quan 3.5 allowance. You won't need to do token math: the app shows a usage bar and an estimate of how many answers you have left.
How many Quan 3.5 answers does each plan include?
Starter includes 3 Quan 3.5 answers a month. Plus includes 2,000,000 Quan 3.5 tokens a month, about 90 answers, and Pro includes 4,000,000, about 180 answers. Answer counts are estimates for a typical question: a detailed comparison uses more tokens and a quick definition uses fewer.
Why is there a daily limit as well as a monthly one?
Plus can use up to 300,000 Quan 3.5 tokens a day (around 13 answers) and Pro up to 600,000 (around 26). The daily ceiling stops one shared login from using a month's allowance in an afternoon. Daily limits reset every 24 hours.
What happens when I reach my limit?
You can wait for the reset, upgrade your plan, or use any other option the app offers at the time. Monthly allowances and included credits reset at the start of each monthly period, measured from your subscription date (annual plans included), and unused allowance doesn't roll over.
What do credits pay for, and what does a report cost?
Credits pay for research reports and other features that show a credit cost. One credit is worth one cent, and a 2–4 page research report costs 150 credits ($1.50). You see the cost before a report runs, credits are charged only when the report is delivered, and if a report fails the reserved credits go back to your balance automatically.
Do credits expire?
Credits you buy and the 150 welcome credits don't expire. The credits included with Plus (500 a month) and Pro (1,000 a month) reset each month and don't roll over, and they're used first, before bought credits. Credits have no cash value, can't be transferred, and are lost if you delete your account.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. Cancelling stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep paid access until then. If you have the Plus Launch price, it ends permanently when you cancel or change your plan or billing period, and the spot isn't reopened.
What is the refund policy?
Monthly subscriptions aren't refunded, including partial months, except where the law requires it. For an annual plan, you can request a full refund within 7 days of the first charge for the annual period if you've used no more than 10% of that period's first monthly Quan 3.5 allowance and none of its included credits. Credit packs aren't refundable for money, except where the law requires it or a purchase failed to deliver the credits.
Is Quan's analysis financial advice?
No. Quan produces AI-generated analysis for informational purposes only. It isn't financial advice or a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security. Always do your own research.
I'm a developer. Is API access priced separately?
Yes. The Developer API is prepaid and has its own pricing page. Quan 3.5 (quan-3.5) costs $5.50 per 1M input tokens and $28.00 per 1M output tokens, and the first 100 developers to redeem code QUAN35 get $5.00 of prepaid credit for Quan 3.5. Teams that need a contract can look at the enterprise financial AI API.
